Cant cut and paste

Whenever I try to copy paste any text over the internet, the computer does not let me . I am using Firefox browser 1.0. Why is this happening? How can I correct it?

note, update firefox to 1.0.1 idn spoofing is in need of fixing in 1.0.

what os are you using?
I’ve seen this in linux occasionally.
if you are using linux run the kilpper util.
linux doesn’t default, usually, to having a clipboard active.

okay, from comment to other answer, you are using windows.
did you crank the security settings up higher?
maybe altered caching?
these can affect internet browsers.

it has been reported to thier developers as a bug.
blaming xlib, which isn’t the case with you as you are using windows.

head to the link and comment that you have same problem on windows.
that will increase the priority of the bug.

If you are running Windows and you can highlight the text you want to cut/paste you can use ctrl+c and ctrl+v respectively.
