Can’t delete corrupt file

I recieved what I believe is a corrupt email, not a virus. I can’t get rid of it. If I try to delete or open the file I get an error message that shuts down Outlook. I can get it into the delete file but when I try to empty the delete file same thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
