Can't make PHP w/mySQL and apache

By techrepublic ·
After running a config on PHP I get these errors:

# make
make: *** No targets. Stop.
# make install
make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop.

What does this mean?

Can't make PHP w/mySQL and apache

I think ur Makefile is not correct. There should be a file named Makefile(which is read by make command to build the s/w) in ur current directory. Makefile should have command markers like
install:
<command>
<command>

Since make is not able tofind install: or other command markers in Makefile, its giving this error. You must try to get correct Makefile. Hope ur getting help from http://www.php.net also.

I read the install instructions on php.net and there really was no mention of what to do in case of this error. I did notice a file called makeall.bat however running this provided a similar set of errors.
