I am trying to set up a home NW on windows 2000. On the sharing server is the the cable modem for out side which TCP/IP is configured for DHCP by ISP. Now I got a second NIC in my sharing computer with IP Address 198.168.0.1 and The settings for theclient computer (2nd PC)IP adderss is 192.168.0.2 The settings in device manager says the device is working OK. I’ve got both PC’s connect with a cross wired cable and I cant ping the second NIC in the sharing computer 198.168.0.1. What could be wrong? I disabled Sygate Firewall and it still dosent work.
Please help.
