Can't Print to Printer Connected to Win98SE Computer from WinXp Computer

By res6k60k ·
I have Win98SE and WinXP computers on a peer-to-peer network. The network basis is Workgroup - not Domain. I have no problem seeing the Win98SE machines from the WinXP computer, or installing the drivers for the printers connected to the Win98SE machines, but I cannot actually print to these printers. I get an errort message that indicates "....unable to create print job". Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to supply more information

Liker the Make & Model of the printer/s involved. Many of the cheaper Home Printer/s are not able to be networked to work this way.

If that is the case here there is no solution.

I agree, it needs some more information to be sure, but here's a few possibilities:

http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/11203**781
http://www.easydesksoftware.com/news/news24.htm
The first site seems like it might fix your problem. Hope that helps some,
