Can't send email to another company

By david.brasure ·
For some reason a few weeks ago all of a sudden, we can't send email to a particular company. Every time we send to any user on their domain, we get the following error. I can telnet to their exchange server and manually create an email so I know that works. Any ideas?

We are running Exchange 2003 on the MS Small Business Server 2003

If you email reaches all other clients successfully; then, the admistrator at the other domain is blocking you i.e. a black hole list or spammers' list.

You would have to contact them to see why you are being blocked.

We had the same issue here. When our PR department went to send out emails to the local newspaper they got the same type of response. We had been listed on their "spam" list. The folks in PR had to call their contacts and let them know so that the admins on the other end could put them on the white pages. We are still getting some of those emails from other companies that we work with when putting out community updates.

Best bet is to try and email the admin there and report the issue and if that gets rejected then find a phone number and contact the person you are attempting to email and let them know the dilemma.
