Cd Key during installation with MST file

By tgleason ·
I created an MST file for deployment of office 2000 which works great, but their is no option to include the cd key in the MST file. Office will install completely, but when a user attempt to use on of the programs it ask for the CD KEY. How do I incorporate this in with the installation.

It defeats the purpose of massive deployment with unattended installation.

Cd Key during installation with MST file

Questions. Where did your Office 2000 software originate? When and if you performed an administrative installation to a share were you asked for the CD key? Were you prompted where to install?

The only reason for these questions...an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base indicates that if you have an OEM version of the Office 2000 installation media it does not support an administrative installation. If this is the case, the article states purchasing a 'true blue' version supports administrative installations.

Just a shot in the dark...
