CD player

By john.a.wills ·
I used to have a CD player on my PC which displayed colored patterns to the music. Alas, I allowed a Windows upgrade to make Windows media player my prime music player. Does anyone know which player I might have and how to make it primary again?

Most of the media players support "visualization" even Windows media player. there is also "real player" which will play about everything but also has its own proprietary format. for WM player there is a small down triangle in the upper right that has a tool tip "access application menus" on the application menus, choose view>visualizations and then select the type and style of the visualization you desire. there are tons of different visualizations to choose from.
