Centrino Brand on Linux notebooks, will it effect Linux marketshare?

As I was reading the above linked article, I got to thinking, is this going to effect Linux marketshare? We all know what brand recognition can do for things like laundry soap and jeans... will having that "Intel Inside" sticker on a Linux laptop effect what consumers think enough to induce them to buy one?

Yep... I live in redneck country, where it's ok to beat your wife and have sex with your kids, but Heaven forbid there's a gnu on your computer... Same people drive Dodge Rams. I don't get it.
