Change Local profile?

By Snuffy09 ·
I Added a new mobo to my computer

did a repair of my OS so i could boot
(xp pro)

I can see my old profile c:\doc & Settings\mike
my new one is C:\doc & Settings\mike.home

Is there a way i can change back to just \mike so i dont have to reinstall all my software?

THANKS!!!

Just to add

that whenever I do a repair install it is normally only so that I can access and remove the data from user accounts before reinstalling the Operating System. There is nothing like a fresh install on a new motherboard and if the PSU is older than 6 mths I replace it as well if it is not a reputable brand name.
