Change Technicolor IP

By danilo.solano77 ·

I wrongfully clicked a link on my PS4 that gave the IP to someone and I've been DDOS'd twice now. Which IP address do I have to change and how? I own a technicolor router and I have access to it.

I read on some websites that turning off your router for 5-10 minutes should reset the router IP but what about the PS4's IP? Is it the same IP if it is hard wired to my router?

Have you tried reserved IP's

Hi,

I am not familiar with that particular router, If that router is the DHCP Server, then most routers have an option to "reserve" to assign IP addresses based on Mac address. I would suggest you try that, this way you device will always get the same ip address. If you know the model of your technicolor router, i did a search and the manuals are listed here "setuprouter.com/router/technicolor/" Im sure you can find the instructions on setting up a reserved IP in there.
I hope that helps.
