In the near future, I will need to change the name of my computer that houses my Exchange server.
Currently, it is spruce and the domain is acadia.com (i.e. spruce.acadia.com). We will be ridding ourselves of the acadia.com domain, and since we have a new one, need to change to that. SO, the bottom line is that I would loke to end up at mail.forgepartners.com for the entire name.
For some reason, I don’t think a simple changing under network properties will work, will it?? Its NT4 Server using sp6a.
What would happen if I left it at spruce, but changed the somain name so it was spruce.forgepartners.com. Would that be easier??
