Changing Font for EMAC

By amgrayson ·
I'm just learning RD 6.1 and EMAC -- running on a PII 450 PC.

How do I change the basic font/size that Emacs uses for the whole file?

TIA.

Emacs is a standard X application, and as such can have its font changed when called:

$ emacs -fn -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-m-60-iso8859-1

This command is a single line.

The fond spec may be abreviated, as well the fontsavailable to you may change.

You can learn about this and other options reading the X man page. There you can learn how to put the program in the position you want in the scree, etc.

Once you're set, you can put the options in the links of theconfig lifes of the Window Manager you use.

If you're using Emacs in X-windows environment, try Shift+Click in the document window. A font menu should appear.
