Changing name of My Computer icon

I want to change the My Computer Icon to display the computer name for all users who log onto a Windows 2000 machine. I have tried changing the value for Localized String under the Registry Key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} as mentioned in one Tech Republic article but it has no effect. Can someone help?
