Changing roles of CIO

By mansha1177 ·
Hello, I am doing a research on "Changing roles of CIO" and I was wondering if someone could answer some of the questions that I have. It will be a tremendous help to me in the research.

Questions:
1. What role does CIO play in today?s economy? What do CEOs want from CIOs these days?

2. What are some of the major responsibilities you hold as a CIO? Have you tried to focus on one responsibility more than another? Has it been effective?

3. Do you think the ideal qualifications for the CIO are changing as the IT function becomes more central to business planning?

4. What role do you think CIO will play in next 5 years?

5. Is the CIO role becoming obsolete?

6. Do you think future CIO will not only play a role of IT strategist, but also that of business need assessor, overall cost minimizer and business strategist?

7. I have never heard of CIO going to jail, but will the future CIO be eligible to go to jail as they will have more financial responsibility on their hands?

If you could reply to this email or send me an email at: mansha1177@hotmail.com that will be really great.

Sincerely,
Manish Jain
