Changing Time and Date in WinNT

By patrick.branan ·
I need to give some users the right to change their date and time for use with some of our accounting applications. I know there is a way to give a user rights to that without giving them full admin rights. Can someone tell me how to do this? As it stands now, I have to go to their workstations and adjust the time as needed.

Thanks

You can do this in either of two ways. Either local (each machine) or globally. Using user manager for domains create a group and add each user that needs time/date access. Then select "Policys" - "User Rights" and choose the "Change the system time" right. Next click on "Add" and select the group to assign this right to. The process is about the same for local rights except that you would select their machine under "User" - "Select Domain" (Or use the user manager from the local machine.)

As you will see there are many other rights to choose from as well. Both at the domain and the local level.

Perfect! I knew it was simple, the hard part was knowing where to look.
