CHECK OUT TR'S LATEST ONLINE COLUMN: YOUR BLOG!

Tired of scattering your grains of technical wisdom into the four winds
of TechRepublic's Discussions and Technical Q&A? Looking for a
centralized repository for your IT advice and all-purpose opinions? Get
ready to start sharing, people: Your very own TechRepublic blog is
waiting for you here.
http://techrepublic.com.com/5247-6257-0.html

Already got a blog, and don't feel like starting another one? We've got
you covered. You can import your existing blog into TechRepublic using
your external blog's RSS feed. This eliminates the need to post things
twice. Want to import some but not all of your external blog? No
problem, you can delete posts brought in by your external feed, so only
your favorite posts appear on TechRepublic. And, of course, every post
is taggable and eligible for comments by other TR members. In the near
future, you'll be able to stream your TR blog as an RSS feed.

Just to prove we actually believe our own blogging hype, here are two
blogs from TechRepublic staffers, the first an example of an imported
blog, the second an original-to-TR creation:

Not ready to start your own blog, but want to read everybody else's?
Each member's blog is accessible from their profile page by clicking on
the Blog tab. In our next blog release (coming soon), you'll be able to
keep track of your favorite TR blogs with the Blog Posts From My
Contacts feature. Welcome to the blogosphere.

community team? Post it in this discussion.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: DEEPSAND

There are several contenders for the title of Most Old-School
TechRepublic Member, but DEEPSAND might just trump them all with his "I
worked on a version of ENIAC" card. And he's not reluctant to share his
experiences, either, as evidenced by his being our most active forum
poster last week. View deepsand's complete profile here.

TAG, YOU'RE IT: LONGHORN

There may not be many longhorn discussions now, but as the new version
of Windows draws nearer to its release date, the longhorn tag will keep
you in sync with all the latest updates and discussions surrounding
Microsoft's uber-hyped operating system.

"TOO HOT FOR TR"

Have you ever wondered why some of TechRepublic's most active
discussion threads--the off-topic stuff about politics, religion, and
pop culture--never seem to appear on the Hot Discussions list, let
alone as featured discussions? Because we hide them, of course. Below
are the top five most active suppressed threads from the last week.
Join in on those discussions that are just "too hot for TR."

That's really cool!

by Oz_Media In reply to Check out TR's latest onl ...

Man you guys have been keeping busy on TR!

It's all fine and dandy for you young guys that are into all these new fandagled gadgets but I'm gonna have to RTFM for a while.

Goodness, it's like getting a new digital watch or a fancy clock with a radio built-in!

P.S. Great Community Netnote, it's really taking shape now (now that you actually have stuff to announce anyway. )

The Netnote was a great idea, but you forgot to mention who won the iPod.
