Choosing Which Laptop to Purchase

I had my eye on two different laptops, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out which one I should get. Would anyone be willing to help me out? One thing to note: The ASUS is $200 cheaper than the MSI (open box deal in my area).

Depends on your needs for the laptop.

It seems that the ASUS one has a bigger display and bigger SSD... and lower RAM.

IMO if you actually need to move around, a 17 inch laptop is quite buiky. But if you plan on staying home most of the time, it's a great choice :)

What tasks will you mainly be performing on the laptop? I think it's better to choose one that fits your needs rather than one that fits the budget.

It's up to you.

It will always be up to what you need your laptop for. I'd personally go for the ASUS option than the MSI, I usually stay at home, and I prefer larger displays.
