Chrome internet shortcuts got cut off
All of a sudden these indispensable links have become void, i.e. the only open Chrome to the standard Google search page. This is indeed a disaster, and after days seartching the net, I have found no explanation nor any solution.
Right-clicking on a fresh shortcut, I see something linke this on the TAB Shortcut
Target type:
Application
Target Location:
Application
Target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome_proxy.exe" --profile-directory=Default --app-id=lgfpnfjfohddhclcoehedfpiomlnocej
Start in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application"
Shortcut key:
None
Run:
Normal Window
When I look at a "broken shortcut" there is something MISSING
i.e. (in the above example) :
--profile-directory=Default --app-id=lgfpnfjfohddhclcoehedfpiomlnocej
I have two questions:
1) what could have caused this
2) is there a way to recover the information I have lost?
