chrome superior to firefox and internet explorer

By dariquew ·
this is about an end user named Wanif Harren.

end user connects to internet through linksys router. firefox loads blank page. internet explorer loads blank page. end user calls linksys. they instruct him to ping. he does. 4 sent 4 received. perfect.linksys says its the browser. end user calls his techie younger brother for help. techie younge brother resets tcp/ip stack. that doesn't work. concludes that its either malware or a bvrowser glitch. end user installs google chrome on a whim. google chrome allows him to access web pages. firefox and internet explorer still do not. anyone wanna venture a guess to how this happened?

to disable user-defined proxy settings.

Firefox - From the menu, click Tools | Options. In the options window, click the Advanced tab, then the Network tab.
Click on Settings, click on "Autodetect proxy settings". If Autodetect is already selected, click on "No Proxy". Click OK twice.

For IE7 - From the menu, click Tools | Options. In the options window, click the Connections tab. Click on LAN Settings. Check the "Automatically Detect Settings" box. If the box is already checked, clear it. Make sure "Use automatic configuration script" and "Use a proxy server" boxes are cleared. Click OK twice.
