    Why CISSP Certification is in great demand in Security Industry? Is it mandatory to have the certification?

      While the answer is clearly no you have companies selling training and certs that would tell you otherwise. The only time it could be MANDATORY is if your employment depends on this and they won’t accept that you are Linus Torvalds as good enough.

      If the requirements for knowledge, competences and experience for the jobs you want to apply for, mention such a certification, it’s certainly useful to have a good chance to get the job.

      How many such jobs do you see?

      What you have to understand is that for some places it is there secret card. Either you have this or masters in cyber security. For some it is just something HR has picked up on. I have mine and it is just one more door that can be opened, if you are trying to get into this field yes it is a big help
