It doesn’t uninstall the app. It only empties the cache. It depends on the app what is in the cache, but it doesn’t include information that is needed to run it; it’s only history of your using it.

Clearing the app’s cache will not delete your app data

Clearing the app’s cache will not delete your app data. It will only delete temporary files that the app has stored on your device. These files are used to speed up the app’s performance, but they can sometimes become corrupted and cause problems. Clearing the cache can help to fix these problems.

If you want to delete all of your app data, you need to clear the app’s data. This will delete all of your settings, saved data, and login information for the app. You will need to start over from scratch if you clear the app’s data.

Here are the steps on how to clear the app’s cache and data on Android:

      Open the Settings app.
      Tap on Apps & notifications.
      Tap See all apps.
Find the app that you want to clear the cache for.
      Tap Storage & cache.
      Tap Clear cache.
If you want to clear the app’s data, tap Clear storage.

      Clearing an app’s cache

Clearing an app’s cache on your Android device will not delete your app or its core data. However, it will remove temporary files and data stored in the app’s cache directory. This includes things like images, downloaded content, and other temporary files that the app uses to speed up processes and improve user experience.

Here’s what happens when you clear an app’s cache:

Temporary Files Deletion: The cache files, which are temporary files used by the app, are deleted. These files can be recreated by the app as needed. Clearing the cache won’t affect your app’s functionality, but it might cause the app to take a bit longer to load certain data the next time you use it, as it will need to recreate some of these files.

User Data and Settings: Clearing the cache does not affect your app settings, login credentials, or user data. Your app will still retain all the data that you have saved within the app, such as preferences, game progress, or user-generated content.

App Functionality: The app will continue to function as normal after you clear its cache. You won’t lose any essential data, and the app will rebuild the cache as you use it again.

If you want to remove all data associated with an app, including settings and user data, you can do that through the app settings on your device. This is usually referred to as “clearing data” or “deleting app data.” Be cautious when doing this, as it will reset the app to its initial state, and you may lose your customizations, login information, and any data stored within the app.
