Clearing cache on Sun web server

By ehc ·
Hi! We are using SunOS 5.5 as Unix OS and Netra 3.0 as our internet server program. I'm trying to clear the cache on the server. Can anyone help????

Thanks.

Clearing cache on Sun web server

by insatiable In reply to Clearing cache on Sun web ...

I'm not sure what your intent is.... but cache is cleared from the client browser, not your internet server program/netra. Unless you want to clear the cache on your browser that resides on that program.
Caching done by the server would be at the OS level, using the /tmp directory, which is cleared by a reboot. It's pretty much unnecessary to delete anything in /tmp unless you're experiencing a lack of swap space... and that would take more than just deleting the files, you would probably want to reconfigure.
Back to the beginning.... I think you're really referring to clearing the cache in your browser, usually found under preferences.
Good luck.

Clearing cache on Sun web server

Thanks. I was trying to view the updated webpages and it wouldn't let me. Clearing the cache in my browser didn't do the trick at first so I thought maybe cache on the server was not updating the pages. just a guess.... But, after all, clearing the cache on my browser did the trick.
