Client unable to connect

by sunil_raj12 . Updated 19 years, 6 months ago

I have set up a LAN betweeen two computers. The host is running Windows XP and the Client Windows 2000. The two computers are connected using a crossover cable. I have no problems sharing files between the two computers and the host computer accesses the internet fine (via DSL modem). However, the client cannot connect to the internet. Also, when I try and run the ICS wizard, it gives me an error message that says “ICS cannot be enable. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing.” How to I fix this problem? Thanks for your help!
