Cloning of software

By Hcyong ·
Hi, is it possible to make a copy of a program to be used on another computer without its installer? Is there any specific software which can perform this?

First, there is the license issue.
For most software packages, you are limited to installing the software on 1 PC.

Without the original disk and license, you would not have a "legal" copy and could be subject to fines and penalties.

If you are looking to move a program from an existing PC to a new PC, and then remove it from the old PC, yes, it can be done.

The primary problem is capturing the registry keys and system dll files needed by the software.

One utility to do this task is Aloha Bob.
