Cloud Computing

I have had a little amount of exposure at cloud computing during a brief contract at Microsoft. Now I want to learn all I can about cloud computing for a couple of reasons. I want to learn and get experience with cloud computing because I want the knowledge for my career but, also, I want to make a project I have been working on during my free time that is a meta search engine that can crunch data and store it. So, what I need is a free cloud computing solution that I can work on at home that can run compiled C# or C++ code and can also interact with a free database server. There is one more thing. I just had a phone interview and the interviewer said that they are using Azure where she works. She said that AWS computing is a transferable skill. Is that true? When I had my contract at Microsoft, I also had an Azure account that I was told was free. But it was only free for a short introductory time. I think that AWS accounts are free to anyone who has an account at Amazon.

Global Scale

Types of cloud computing

Not all clouds are the same and not one type of cloud computing is right for everyone. Several different models, types, and services have evolved to help offer the right solution for your needs.

First, you need to determine the type of cloud deployment or cloud computing architecture, that your cloud services will be implemented on. There are three different ways to deploy cloud services: on a public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud.

Having been involved in cloud computing for more than a decade, I’ve heard from many IT executives working to move key enterprise applications to the public cloud. If your organization is looking to modernize mission-critical applications and you’re planning a cloud migration as part of this process, having a cloud migration consulting expert who is responsible for all aspects of the migration is critical to the success of the project.

Brief about Cloud Computing

by Bhavleenkr16 In reply to Cloud Computing

Hello user, I will explain to you briefly about cloud computing. Firstly, the cloud is a significantly broader topic, and it has got many things to learn in it. Cloud computing is a terminology used to describe data centers kept at any particular place, and users can directly access their data stored at these centers from their devices.

Hence, users don't have to manage these storage spaces now and can work hassle-free by accessing them anywhere. After this, you need to know about cloud hosting. Some companies have their own data centers, and they provide entirely managed cloud hosting services to businesses.

Nowadays, companies use cloud-hosted virtual desktops where desktops are created on the cloud servers and delivered to the end-user. Companies are using the cloud because of many advantages such as high desktop performance, high speed, automatic data backup kept securely, cost reduction, and increased productivity of an employee who is working remotely.
