CMS for business

By LarryD4 ·
I posted this as a question and it may be more of a discussion so I'm posting as a discussion.

So I'm taking my consulting work to the next level and I need to develop a web site that manages client specific customer data and files.

To be honest MS Sharepoint would solve my needs, but it's too expensive. Free is better

What I need is a way to create a presentable company web page that allows me to create logins for clients. The client login will allow my customers to see their information such as configurations for systems, file storage, as well as forms, email, support submission system, and their invoices. The invoices are not part of the billing system, they are just files to be stored that I want the client to see.

It was suggested that I use PhPNuke but you now have to pay 12 bucks to get it, which annoyed me, so I am currently playing with PhP-Fusion. It's a nice CMS but it seems to be tailored around community rather than business.

I am a programmer, I have been enjoying PhP and I'm more on the brink of writing my own, but would be much happier with something I can alter.

Any suggestions? Preferably using PhP and MySql.
