Communication errors on Acer TravelMate 4502 w/XP Pro
LockedI’ve been running into some comm errors as of late, and unable to rectify.
1) Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection would no longer connect to my router. Can still connect via ethernet just fine. Once in a while if I deleted the device in Device Manager, it might work again, but for only a few minutes. Updated the driver, but didn’t change a thing.
2) Put in about 20 hours with Intuit’s customer support trying to fix a problem regarding Quicken download from the bank. This stopped working a few weeks ago. After jumping through multiple hoops over and over again, we blew away the program, created another XP User Account with admin rights, and the program works correctly now, but still not in my original user account.
So I wondered if my wireless will work now, and sure enough it does! w/o dropping as well.
My original user profile has all kinds programs set up for it, along with the data, etc. I’d hate to try and set all that up all over again!
I’m not exactly sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions where to turn, or what to do?
