Company website and URL's do not work internally within company building

By daltonsurf ·
I am helping out a company who has a sometimes IT kid who set up their network and email servers but only comes around when he is not vacationing with his parents and wants some money. After months of asking him to do his part much to the frustration of the company he has not resolved some simple items or done his tasks.
I am building a full website with ecommerce capabilities etc. but on the companies computers they can not view the urls or logins for the website which is required. After asking their IT kid to resolve with no results I modifies the htaccess file on some of their local machines to try and resolve this with this workaround. When I then went to try and access the corporate website the kids firewall popped up requiring his passwords. It is a small non tech company that does not require allot of security it is pretty basic. The kids got netgear routers handling a simple wireless network. We asked him to resolve this and he sat at the computer working on this but after several weeks it is still an issue. It seems like it might never be resolved with this student kid who has his game thumb in their pockets and charges an extra $125.00 cash to plug in a printer. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about making things work at this company and allowing them to view their corporate website and web log ins internally?
