Compaq ML350 and integrated NIC

Any ideas?? What causes the NIC to report that the network cable has been removed running under W2K Server? I have tried to replace the cable, use different port on hub, even used a different NIC, but I get the same error all the time. I have re-installed W2K and that also made no difference….

Any good suggestions?

Sounds to me like a funky driver for the integrated NIC…

Check Compaq’s support site (support.compaq.com) for a new driver for Windows 2K or get a fully supported NIC
(there’s a list in one of the readme files on the CD-ROM [hardware.txt???] that lists all supported hardware as of release date).

I installed the same server with the same card and the same drivers from the same W2K CDROM. And the first one works, while the second one doesn’t. I am looking for other reasons the NIC would report such a problem.
