compaq win xp usb bootup

hiya, i have a win xp px that wont bootup from the usb. is there anything i can do to make it work? please help!also, is there a way other than using a special external connecter to change an old laptop harddrive into a hd that can go into my pc and work? a way to switch between then?? thanks!!

If this unit doesn't support booting from a USB Device no their is absolutely nothing that you can do.

Yes what you need is a 2.5 to 3.5 inch adaptor that comes with a plug to change the interface and Power Connector and a metal mount so you can bolt it into the computer. Not only do you need an adaptor from the 2.5 to 3.5 inch Interface but you need to read the directions on how to fit it as if you fit it the wrong way round and plug in the power adaptor you'll blow the IDE IC the moment that you apply power to the system.
