I recently started working with this company. We have an image of a particular model laptop with some really strange Local Security Policy settings and so on. Anyway, I am trying to change the name in Computer Description under My computer but it is grayed out. However I can change the hostname. I do not want to change the host name however because we have a particular naming convention that we follow. When the machine is moved or given to somebody else, we simply change the description.
Does anybody have any idea what policy or setting might be preventing me from doing this?
