Computer Science or IT Degree

By tphillips ·

I am finishing up an associate degree in computer technology, over the last two years I have also been working as an assistant network administrator for a medium sized company. I wish to turn this job into a career. I am looking at different colleges to earn a BAS in Computer Information Technology would this be more suitable for me career goals, compared to earning a BAS Computer Science?

Every college seems to liberally use the terms that describe their degrees. As Tim said, take a look at the curriculum and judge which program and/or college may or may no giv eyou what you want in that position. You're very lucky to have such a position coming out of college, with that experience as well. Good job!
