I have a home network linking 3 desktops and 2 notebooks, each running Windows 98SE. They are connected through a LinkSys broadband router, plus two step-up hubs.
At various times, all computers on the network can see all computers…and at other times (like now) all desktops can see only one laptop. Which computers are visible to which other computers when seems to change on a random basis.
I have done numerous Knowledge Base searches, tried the networking Wizard (which just points me to the network administrator, who unfortunately is me), looked in books and manuals, even hired a consultant to no avail. I am not a network person, just a small-business owner (and pretty savvy software end user). Can anyone point me in the direction of solving my problem?
