Conflict on Ports (IRQ)

By tsoumelli ·
I installed win xp at a new Am2 system with MSI K9neo-f And after i Install the drivers of Motherboard it says in the device manager that the secondary IDE channel(K9neo-F has Only one IDE Channel) and the Networking adapter(The one that is in the Motherboard) has a conflict on IRQS (The IDE Channel has 13 IRQ i think). And that i must Close the one of these two devices.
so I cant use my Network adapter.

strange that the IDE controller would conflict

by CG IT In reply to Conflict on Ports (IRQ)

I'd see if there was a BIOS flash that might solve the problem.

IRQ 14 and 15 are supposed to be for the IDE controllers.

IRQ 13 is math co processor [and that can't be changed

IRQ 12 is the PS/2 mouse [which is probably why all the mfgs are going to USB to free up IRQs]

9,10 11 are usually open IRQs.

not going to go through the list. It's all available on the web.

Well my mistake i meant IRQ 15 not 13.the only thing to do is to disable the Network adapter, cause the second IDE channel cannot be disabled(There isnt Second IDE in my Mainboard)
