Connecting 3 WINS Servers?

At work we have two WINS Servers (WINS_1 & WINS_2) up and running with push/pull, Trying to add a third (WINS_3)one and have them all talking to each other and updating the same database? Is this possible? Please give me some help!

Yes. Set the third one as push/pull partner with server 1 and 2

Proposed answer one is correct. However, I would strongly recommend against using 3 WINS servers on your network. Unless you have more than 50,000 computers on your network, all you need is 1 primary WINS server and 1 secondary WINS server. This includes multiple LANs over WAN connections (this comes straight from Microsoft).

My company has 12 LANs, each with at least one server, and 500 workstations, and we have only two WINS servers. We used to run WINS server on each LAN, believing that this would enable faster name resolution. All it did was cause network-wide WINS corruption, browsing problems, and intermittent freezing of applications. We removed every WINS server except two, pointed all workstations to the same primary and secondary, and we haven't had a problem since. If you are worried about traffic over a WAN link, don't. WINS resolution traffic is miniscule.

Yes. The 3 boot disks or judicious use of [F6] will bypass automatic hardware detection, then you manually (S)pecify the proper driver on diskette.
