Connecting Kompete Kontrol S61 to Home Cinema Amplifier Yamaha RX-A4A using

    by franckferrante ·

I would like to output the sound played from Kompete Kontrol S61 music keyboard using a RJ-45 cable (rather than a mini-pin to RCA stereo cable) to my home cinema speakers for a better sound, is this possible?

My Yamaha RX-A4A home cinema ampli has a RJ-45 entry to allow connection to internet box, however I want to connect with the RJ-45 cable directly to my computer to avoid having to access the wi-fi internet.

It is possible to change the ip addresses of the Yamaha RX-A4A by entering the menu, to allow communication with my PC, but I have no idea how to set all of this up to be able to output the Kompete Kontrol S61 sound to my home cinema speaker system.

Is there anyone with this technical knowledge that can help?

    many thanks

It’s not very clear what you want. You mention 2 things.
      – connect the keyboard to your cinema speakers
      – connect the cinema speakers to your computer

Find the user manual of your RX-A4A to find out what signal it expects to come from the “internet box” (what internet-box do you have?) and what you can do with that (f.e. browse Youtube in the built-in-browser, or view Netflix in the built-in Netflix app).
Then find the user manual of your keyboard to see if it can deliver any of the signals the RX-A4A can process.

For example, I see there are RCA-HDMI converters, But that’s not RJ45 , that’s HDMI.

And let me ask why you ask your question in the Windows forum? Apart from mentioning “my PC” I don’t see anything related to Windows in your question.

It is unlikely that you can output sound from the Kompete Kontrol S61 keyboard to your home cinema speakers using an RJ-45 cable. The RJ-45 cable is typically used for Ethernet connectivity and does not support audio transmission. To connect the keyboard to your home cinema speakers, you may need to use a cable that is specifically designed for audio output, such as a mini-pin to RCA stereo cable or a USB audio cable. If your home cinema amplifier supports network audio streaming, you may be able to use a network audio streaming protocol such as UPnP or DLNA to stream audio from your computer to the amplifier, but this would typically require additional software or hardware to be installed and configured.
