Connecting to another machine through the internet

    Locked

    by ivtv ·

Here we go, I have two boxes with XPpro installed… I am using cable internet on a hub with two different IP’s. I want to connect to box 2 since it has all my backups of box 1. I used to do this through a router…. but my router died and i’m going about this the cheap way, that and I like having two IP’s so I can setup a gaming server with out configuring a router.

How would I go about connecting box 1 to box 2 through an IP, I have tried remote desktop and it’s too slow?

Buy Winproxy and connect the better box to the internet using the other box, doesnt slow down your connection but has to be running 24/7

      (WinProxy: Retail value is $29.99)

Spend the few bucks and replace the router, easier and more secure. Just think of the time you have spent trying to figure it out, against what little a home router cost. JMHO
