Connecting XP Home to Network
I am again asking this question. How can I see my WinXP (Home) on the network, or at least see other PCs (Win9x)? The XP machine can ping and even download mail and access the Internet from the Linux proxy/mail server without a problem. However, the XP machine (Compaq Pressario laptop) cannot see other Windows machines and neither can the others see it. Installed are NetBUI and TCP/IP on the 9x PCs while the XP has TCP/IP. Client for MS-Networks and File and Printer Sharing for MS-Networks are installed on all machines.
I have tried the XP network setup wizard many times but to no avail. Please help.
