Are you using Firefox or IE?

by Peconet Tietokoneet In reply to Contact info

If IE7 or 8, then do this:
Tools > internet options > Advance
Scroll down and put a tick in the boxes marked
"Do not save encrypted pages to disk"
"Empty Temporary Internet folder when browser is closed".
Then "Apply" and then close.

Firefox:
Tools > options > Privacy, and select "Never remember History", then close.

It is most probably on their Google servers...

by Peconet Tietokoneet In reply to Thanks

You might need to contact them (Google) and ask for them to delete it their end.
Unless you can update the webpage you have taken down with a empty page, so as to overwrite the old webpage and in doing so it should get rid of the info that you want deleted.
Hope it all works out.

Removing Web pages from Google....

Removing pages

Content removed with this tool will be excluded from the Google index for a minimum of 90 days, regardless of whether the content becomes available to our crawler during that time. Successful SafeSearch removals will be permanently excluded from Google SafeSearch results.
Before you begin:

* Make sure you have the full URL of each page you want removed.
* Carefully read the instructions below. In order to remove a page, you may have to make some changes to your content.

* To remove a page or image, you must do one of the following:
o Ensure requests for the page return an HTTP status code of either 404 or 410 http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=40132
OR
o Ensure that the pages you want to remove have been blocked using a robots.txt file http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35303
OR
o Ensure that the pages you want to remove have been blocked using a meta noindex tag http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=93710.

* To remove a directory or your entire site, you must ensure that the pages you want to remove have been blocked using a robots.txt file. Returning a 404 isn't enough, because it's possible for a directory to return a 404 status code, but still serve out files underneath it. Using robots.txt to block a directory ensures that all of its children are disallowed as well.

* To update a cached copy of a page, update the content of the URL as desired. Once the URL is recrawled and indexed, the Google cached page will be updated to reflect the latest crawled content.
* To remove a cached copy of a page, we recommend that you first read our detailed guidelines. Requesting immediate removal of a cached page can be a tricky process. To remove a cached page, you must either add a meta noarchive tag to the page or change the content of the page. To permanently remove the cached version, use the meta noarchive tag.

Removing URLs

Once you have completed the steps above, you can request removal of your URLs as follows:

1. On the Webmaster Tools home page, click the site you want.
2. Under Site configuration, click Crawler access.
3. Click the Remove URL tab.
4. Click New removal request.

You can use this tool to reinclude your content at any time during the 90-day period.

Thanks,

I have asked google to remove the pages, as I have deleted the pages from the website and it should now be sorted in a few days.

Nice one..

A bit fiddly to delete the webpages though. As long as it is sorted.
