Contacts from Outlook do not open in Word?

By ronblaw ·
I am runing Windows 2003 on 2000 OS. Can anyone tell me why Outlook contacts are not available in Word. I have relocated my PST files in my Outlook contacts to a share computer. Do I need to enter Word and re-map or link the Outlook contacts withnin Word? Any held would be appreciated. Thanks.

Me too

I did the same - put my PST files on another drive - and I have the same problem. Nothing in word will allow me to use Outlook. I have Office Ultimate 2007 and am using Vista with all the latest updates on both. If you discover a solution I would like to know it. Thanks.

Save contacts as an address book....

Since Word can't read the PST file, you need to save the contacts as an address book or create an address book FROM the Outlook contacts. I forget now, which you do... it's either in Outlook options somewhere, or it's in the address book options somewhere.
