Many different applications (and versions)can create a ".dat" file now days so you'll need to provide the proper App and Version info so someone can tell you where to download the appropriate (Borland?) driver.

The program that is the user interface is ARCIS (Army Company Information System) Build T15_03_05. Programs that are referenced by one of the text files are THOR 4.0 and SAGE 4.0. I don't know if this will help you at all.

Thanks

As everyone else is saying, more information is needed as far as where the file came from. You can simply copy the file, then rename the extension to .TXT and see if that works.

THEFILE.DAT = THEFILE.TXT

I worked with .DAT files in the past. These names were assigned due to the fact that they were raw data files. I would verify the data after you rename the extension.
