Convert Wordperfect to Word

A friend of mine has WordPerfect 8.0 (soon 11) and another has MS Word (Office 2000 and soon XP).
They e-mail each other and want to know if there is a way to convert WordPerfect to Word or vice versa.

Any suggestion or recommendation?
