converting text files to Word documents

By mkrbavac ·
I've got over 400 txt files that I want to convert to Word documents. How do I do this without opening each text file and then saving it as a Word document? I would like all of the files in a folder to be opened and then saved as a Word doc. All of the files are in the same folder.

I've tried creating a macro to do this, but can't figure out how to work with non-specific filenames. The * wildcard doesn't work. (the files are named
name 001.txt with the number increasing for each file)

Thanks in advance for helping!

Take a look on your Office CD. Look for Convert8.wiz (Word 97) or Convert9.wiz (Word2000). There is a batch conversion tool.
