Copy File Shares from Nt4.0 to 2K server

I have a windows 2000 server that does not have active directory. and i want to use this to replace the existing Nt 4.0 file server. Is there a way to copy the existing shared folders over to the windows 2000 server without loosing the shares and permissions ?? Our main DC is nt 4.0 and we dont want to change it. we just want the server running 2000 with our existing file shares no active directory, so i need to know how it can be done or if it can be done ???
