Copy Shared Folder to GAL

By jdgretz ·
I have a client who would like to copy the 1300 contacts they have in a shared Exchange Folder to the Global Address List to make them readily available from within Outlook when addressing E-mail.

I have not found a way to make this occur as the GAL is normally populated from Active Directory and their client/vendor list is obviously not part of AD.

Server is Windows 2003 Small Business Server.

what type of exchage is it,exchange 2k?u need to use a ldap command which will export addressbook,
ru a part of the same exchange server which broadcast the clients.if yes, u can configure the same by using the POP3 facility by export the address book and later importing the same into u r outlook addressbook.

configure the same with the same settings of the exchage which u r part using the ldap service for adding the adding the address book.

use the above setting and let me know.

You misunderstand my problem - I've already solved that issue. The addresses I need to import into the GAL were in a .pst originally. I copied them to an Exchange Shared Folder to make them accessable to all system users, but this does not make them part of the searchable structure of GAL and Address Book by the client computers.

These need to import into the GAL.
