Copying Menus betw apps in a Suite

I want to copy the Built In Menu – WORK menu option from WORD to EXCEL – anybody know how – I have already tried Ctrl+Alt and drag, Tools/Customize, Ctrl C/V. I cannot believe (although I probably should) that an option this good is not/cannot be available between applications in a suite.

This menu option (Tools/Customize/Commands/Built In Menu/Work (last item in list)is fantastic as I use several standard files everyday – but creating desktop shortcuts gets messy and this option KEEPS a permanent list of saved files that you must personally add to or delete from the list – I love this feature. (to delete Ctrl+Alt+hyphen (key next to 0). Thanks in advance…
