copying messages to disk

Using Outlook Express and Win XP.
I have funny emails that I’d like to keep in my inbox, but I have so many,thought I’d put them on a CD to save them. Whole inbox will be copied to CD. Any way to copy these files and to be able to read them in something other than Outlook.
