    Copying photos from iphone 11 to Win10 pc

    What is the best way to copy large numbers of photos from my iPhone 11 to my Windows 10 pc?
    I’ve connected the two using the lightning/usb cable and have tried both drag & drop and importing (via the Windows photo app) – but both methods fail miserably. Seems that the connection to the iPhone times out.
    Thanks, Owen

      I think it might be done in a few steps.
      1. Connect your iPhone 11 to the computer via a USB cable.
      2. Run iTunes and click the device button “Select Photos”
      3. Check “Sync Photos”
      4. Select the photos and videos you want to transfer from the option “Copy photos from.

        Thanks JimInnovator37

        I had previously tried all of this. I was hoping that I could just plug my iPhone into my WIN10 laptop and drag ‘n’ drop like the old days, but IOS no longers plays with WIN10 without timing out.

        So, I have resorted to using iCloud;
        I’ve enabled iCloud storage on my iPhone 11 (after signing up to 50Gb storage) and have connected my laptop by browsing to icloud.com. I can then download photos to my HDD

        Thanks
