In the last few days, a contributor raised the issue of body shops submitting their resume and even editing it without their permission.
What immediately comes to mind is copyrighting the resume. Is this common?
An immediate downside is the appearance of arrogance, having a copyright statement at the bottom. A potential employer might discard on that alone.
The upside is having a legal recourse when headhunters abuse your resume. This would cover those instances where these guys pullyour resume off a job board and slam it around indiscriminantly.
I really feel that if they can’t make a buck off the deal, they would just as soon you don’t either.
